Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), based in Nashville, Tennessee, is the largest ($1.5B) private corrections facility management company in the United States. CCA contracted with Carmel Information Technology to provide strategic IT consulting services, including IT governance, organizational development and program management. Carmel Information Technology recommended the formation and facilitated regular meetings of a Technology Steering Committee as a method of assuring that the IT projects were business priority driven. CCA was exceptionally pleased with the results of this year-long engagement.
In-site Vision is an Alameda, California, based biotechnology company specializing in the manufacture of ophthalmic products. Carmel Information Technology performed an end-to-end SOX IT engagement for InSite Vision, a first-year SOX filer.

Working closely with the County Assessor, County Auditor and County Tax Collector, Carmel Information Technology analyzed all facets of the property tax system and recommended several options to either remediate the system vulnerabilities or to replace the system. The County chose to install a new property tax system, which is now operational.

Terrapin Physical Therapy, a small physical therapy business located in Monterey, California, engaged Carmel Information Technology to perform IT strategic planning and to advise on the acquisition of new hardware, networking and application software.
Wise Metals, a $1B aluminum manufacturing company, is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Wise engaged Carmel Information Technology to perform a full end-to-end SOX IT audit and assessment. Based upon interviews with key executives and IT personnel, it was determined that Wise required a new set of IT policies and procedures. Carmel Information Technology provided the new policies and procedures and assisted the client in implementing new procedures and remediating existing procedures, where possible.
